Tournament Information


Tournament Location 

All tournament games will be played at Schufer Burns Memorial field.  The field is located adjacent to Chief Pontiac Post 377 at 4819 Mary Sue, Clarkston, MI.  A map and driving directions are available off of the Tournament Home Page.


Opening Ceremonies
This year’s opening ceremonies will be on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 6:00pm just prior to the Cookout.  Your team should be at the field no later than 5:45pm.  This will give us time to get organized and start the ceremonies on time.  Immediately following the opening ceremonies we will proceed directly to the Post for a cookout.


Players and Coaches should wear pants (no jeans) and a collared shirt to the cookout. Players and Coaches should wear their Jersey over their shirts for the opening ceremonies.


This year we will be having a cookout for all players and coaches on Wednesday, July 31st at the Chief Pontiac Post 377 American Legion Hall in Clarkston, Michigan. The Cookout will begin at 6:30pm. Parents and Friends may purchase cookout tickets at the door. Cost of the ticket for parents and friends is $10.00. The cookout will feature hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, soft drinks and desert.


Homerun Derby

This year we will be conducting a Home Run Derby on the field at 7:30pm.  Each team can elect 2 players to represent their team in the Home Run Derby.  There will be 3 rounds; 12 players will compete in the first round, 6 players in the second round and 3 players in the final round.  Each player will get 10 outs per round.  Home runs are cummulative and total home runs for all 3 rounds wins.  All players must supply their own pitcher. The winning player and runner up will receive a trophy.

Tournament Hotel Arrangements

The official tournament hotel is the Auburn Hills Hotel and Suites located at:

2200 Featherstone Rd.
Auburn Hills, MI 48326


Additional hotel information including a map and driving directions can be found by clicking hereReservations have been made for the players and coaches. Team reservations include 5 rooms for each team (Up to 18 players and 2 coaches).  All teams will be required to pay a housing deposit of $200.

Daily room checks will be conducted by the Hotel Staff and the Host Committee personnel.  Each team is responsible for any damages or miscellaneous hotel charges such as movies, phone calls, etc.  If any damage is reported or any room is determined to be dirty and require the housekeeping staff to work more than normal or any miscellaneous charges are not paid, then the deposit will be forfeited. 

Hotel Check-In, Check Out Instructions

Wednesday – Check In – 12:00pm – 4:00pm

  • Upon arrival at the hotel follow the signs to the Team Check In Area.
  • Pay your team’s $200 Housing Deposit to a member of the Host Committee
  • Pick up your room keys

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
On the day your team may be eliminated from the tournament please check out of the hotel by providing your room keys to the Host Committee in the Team Check In Area, prior to leaving for the field.

If your team remains in the tournament, before you leave the field, please go to the concession stand and the Tournament Director will have your return check-in package

The hotel provides an excellent hot breakfast.  Meal money for lunch and dinner ($10 per day) will be given to players and coaches as long as their team remains in the tournament.

Spectator Information
Tournament passes will be provided to players and coaches when you check in to the hotel.  Fans may purchase a comemorative tournament pass for $15.00, game passes will be sold for $5.00 per game.  Both may be purchased at the gate.
